LeMoyne Arts Announces 2018 Chain Of Parks Plans

LeMoyne Arts

Rated the number one community art festival in the nation by a prominent arts magazine, Tallahassee’s upcoming Chain of Parks Festival will have a new look and a regional music headliner this year.

Festival Chair Kelly Dozier said the “best in the country” ranking by Sunshine Artist Magazine means more top national artists along with the traditional local favorites. She added this year’s event has a new visual signature.

“Lisa Rogers (has) created a unique piece for the festival and when you see it you’ll know that it’s Tallahassee,” Dozier said.

Saturday evening music was added to the festival last year and Dozier explained this will continue this year.

“Headliners are ‘The Crickets.’ They’re a female swamp/folk group from Florida’s Gulf Coast, so they’re going to be performing from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and it’s free in the park.”

The newly rebranded LeMoyne Arts produces the 18th Annual Chain of Parks Art Festival, set for April 21st and 22nd in downtown Tallahassee.
