Florida State University High School Bus Driver Killed In Crash

A Tallahassee school bus driver has been killed in a crash while driving a local school track team back from a meet.

According to the Leon County Sheriff's Office, 65-year-old William Fowler II was driving the Florida State University High School track team back from a meet in Jacksonville early Friday morning when a driver turned in front of his bus, causing the crash. The accident happened at about 2:25 a.m. at the intersection of Conner Boulevard and Appalachee Parkway.

Two students and two coaches were treated with minor injuries at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.

The driver of the car, 25-year-old Sara Walker, was arrested for driving under the influence and taken to the Leon County Jail.
