The Florida Disabled Outdoors Association has changed the location for its annual SportsAbility event. The new location will allow easy access for participation.
The FDOA encourages physically active lifestyles for people with and without disabilities. Executive Director Laurie LoRe-Gussak says in the past activities took place Wakulla County.
LoRe-Gussak says, "we’ve been having the event in Tallahassee for 28 years. But the last day of SportsAbility has been in Wakulla County. But this is the first time that it’s going to be at Maclay Gardens."
The FDOA is collaborating with Alfred B. Maclay Gardens April 14, the final day of the sports activities. LoRe-Gussak says all sport activities are free.
"So if you want to come out and try everything from sit water skiing, rock wall climbing, horseback riding, golf, martial arts, tennis, volleyball, baseball, you name it. It’s all free," LoRe-Gussak says.
The three-day event starts April 12. To register and receive more information contact FDOA.
