Florida’s chief elections officer is reminding voters they have until Monday, Aug.1st, to register for the Aug. 30 primary.
Secretary of State Ken Detzner says now is a good time for voters to check their registration status. Florida is a closed primary state, which means only registered Democrats or Republicans can vote in those primaries.
However, non-partisan races will be open to all voters. And the same goes for a solar power ballot initiative sponsored by the Legislature.
