Equality Florida has set a deadline to distribute donations for the victims of the Pulse shooting. Victims and their families have until September 12th to submit a claim to receive the funds.

Distribution of the $23 million collected for victims of the shooting at an Orlando gay nightclub begins September 27th. Equality Florida will continue collecting donations until Friday September 23th. The organization received more than $7.8 million dollars from donors around the world through the online crowdsourcing site gofundme.com. In order to be eligible, victims and their families must submit a claim by Monday September 12th through the website OneOrlando.org. The National Center for Victims of Crimes and the City of Orlando are overseeing the distribution, with 100% of the funds going to the victims and their families. The Center previously coordinated donations for the victims of 9/11, Columbine, Virginia Tech and Newtown.
