City commissioners are tabling a vote on a sound ordinance once again. Commissioners had postponed a previous vote in hopes neighborhoods and businesses could work out an agreement for how and where an ordinance should be enforced. But after a lack of consensus Wednesday, Commissioner Gil Ziffer says it’s time for the city to tackle the issue.

“I do think this is going to be fluid. I do think that overtime it might have to change. I do think that probably some of the decibel levels we won’t get right and we’ll have to move them. But I think that our staff has an idea of what we probably want to achieve,” Ziffer says.

Commissioners say they're planning to vote on an ordinance during their meeting scheduled at the end of January.
