City, County Operations Returning To Normal

NOAA via twitter

Florida’s capital dodged the most destructive impacts of Irma, allowing now city and county operations to begin returning to normal.

The offices of Leon County and the City of Tallahassee will reopen Wednesday.

Trash collection will also resume that day, although the schedule will shift a bit. Monday pickups will happen on Wednesday, etc. until waste management is all caught up. Community-wide storm debris sweeps are already underway. And residents can begin dropping off yard debris at the solid waste facility on Apalachee Parkway starting Wednesday.

Star Metro and the Tallahassee airport are up and running.

And the county commission meeting scheduled for the 12th will instead happen Wednesday September 20th.
