Tuesday marks the four years since Kendrick Johnson was found dead in a gym mat at his Georgia high school.

The 17-year-old black teen was found by students at his Valdosta High School.

Local authorities have ruled Johnson’s death an accident. But, citing foul play, his family has filed multiple lawsuits to no avail.

Meanwhile, over the weekend, family, friends, and supporters marched from Kendrick’s former high school to his burial site. They later held a remembrance gala.

On noon Tuesday, balloons will be released at Sunset Hill Cemetery—Kendrick Johnson’s resting place—to mark the 4th year of his death.
