Another Moving Experience for Sharing Tree

Tom Flanigan

Leon County's Sharing Tree will soon be moving. Again! Executive Director Carly Sinnadurai was getting ready over the weekend.

"Our hearts are full and thankful and grateful for everything, because we couldn't have moved 3 times in 3 months without an amazing volunteer crew, so hats off to them!" she exclaimed.

Back in October, the art and school supply resource had moved from Third Avenue in Midtown to the Centre of Tallahassee. But that new space was deemed not up to code. While work was done to make that area compliant, the Sharing Tree had taken up temporary quarters in the former Sam Goody Record store. Sinnadurai said, for awhile at least, the Sharing Tree will be in two places at once.

"We do have our big Kids' Day coming up on February 10th, so we'll probably maintain both spaces until then and then make the full shift shortly after that. But we have a lot of great events and energy and momentum in the mall has been really great!"
