"Global Events that Touched Florida: Great Depression through the Cold War" by Janie Gould November 16, 2017 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The Museum of Florida History presents a special program to complement the Museum's 40th anniversary exhibit Living the Dream:Twentieth-Century Florida. Speaker Janie Gould's presentation is titled Global Events That Touched Florida: Great Depression through Cold War. Janie Gould, a fourth-generation Floridian living in Vero Beach, is a writer, editor, lecturer, and retired public radio journalist. The evening begins with light refreshments in the Museum lobby at 5:30 p.m., followed by Ms. Gould's talk at 6:30 in Heritage Hall Auditorium. The History Shop and Museum galleries will remain open until 8:00. Ms. Gould will be available to sign books before and after her presentation. Funding for the program is provided through a grant from the Florida Humanities Council with funds from the National Endowment for the Humanities.
