Heisman Winner Charlie Ward Returns to Tallahassee to Celebrate Boys & Girls Clubs of the Big Bend’s 25th Anniversary with Steak & Burger Dinner Florida State University football great and 1993 Heisman winner Charlie Ward is returning to Tallahassee to celebrate the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Big Bend’s (BGCBB) 25th Anniversary with the organization’s Annual Steak & Burger Dinner. To add to the evening’s excitement, FSU and Tampa Bay Buccaneer’s sports announcer, Gene Deckerhoff will emcee the dinner. The Steak & Burger Dinner incorporates an evening of good food, great entertainment and interaction with Boys & Girls Club members at each table. A major event sponsor, the Outback Restaurant is catering the dinner. As adults enjoy juicy, mouth-watering hamburgers, Boys & Girls Club members will be treated to a special steak dinner. Event sponsors include Prime Meridian Bank, Retired Florida Supreme Court Justice Harry and Mrs. Susann Anstead, Leon County Sheriff’s Department, Tallahassee Community College Foundation, Wells Fargo and Comcast. Proceeds from the dinner will be used to support the organization's numerous programs in character and leadership development, health and life skills, education and career development, the arts, and sports, fitness and recreation.
